| Live music on
the banks of the San Marcos River is a traditional element of San Marcos’
4th of July Summerfest celebration. And this year’s musical line
up will be a variety of genres and old familiars, with a touch of new.
Summerfest is made possible by a partnership between the City of San Marcos,
the San Marcos Noon Lions Club and a host of corporations, organizations
and individuals.
Thanks to a contribution of in-kind design and webmaster services provided
by Josiesque Designs, Summerfest San Marcos has a significantly improved
the Summerfest website and continues to maintain it.
Food and activity booths will open at 4:00 p.m. at San Marcos Plaza Park.
A variety of food and other items will be available from on-site vendors.
A children’s parade and a patriotic program are included on the
Summerfest schedule.
Free parking for Summerfest will be available at the San Marcos Activity
Center and Texas State’s Strahan Coliseum parking lot. The Lions
Club’s tube rental at City Park will be open for business all day.
Summerfest is an alcohol free event. Coolers are subject to inspection.
